When most people wake up in the mornings, the first thing they do is go to the Bathroom. It’s the space that will start your day. Some people will just pamper themselves; some will just relax in the shower, or soak in a bath. Therefore you want make this space as pleasant and relaxing as possible.
Bath rugs are a key part in making this happen. The last thing you want in the morning is bitterly cold feet, or to slip over on the wet floor. You can place bath rugs by the shower, basin and sink. Nothing beats the feel of a soft warm high quality bath rug under your feet.
Here are a few things to think about when choosing a bath rug.
Choosing the Right Bath Rug Fabric:
The most popular bath rugs are made out of nylon and polyester this gives a balance with durability, feel, and survival of repeated washings with out losing its vibrancy. Even stampedes of housemates all going to work at the same time wont do harm to a bath rug like this.
Make sure you stay away from cheap cotton bath rugs even though they might feel good and be absorbent. They have a tendency to shrink and flake off. Cheap is always nasty in this case. If you are caught on buying a cotton bath rug then go for quality Supima cotton.
Now if you’re not a fan of soft rugs, and like a nice foot massage, then bamboo bath mats could be the option for you. They usually come as thin light, solid mats. These are incredibly durable and don’t fade much. However the downside of these are that they do not absorb much moisture.

Make your bathroom expierence as pleasant as possible, get a nice bath rug.
Size Up Your Bathroom:
You sure always make sure you measure the size of your bathroom floor. While most bath rugs are circular, this may not fit the dimensions of your bathroom. I’ve made the mistake of being over zealous, and not doing basic measurements, bad mistake.
So now you know what to look for when purchasing a bath rug. But now you should know a few things about maintaining and cleaning them.
Bath Rug Cleaning Tips:
Obviously since these rugs are designed to be around water, they are relatively easy to wash, and in most cases you can just through them in your washing machine. However there are a few exceptions.
Make sure you always check the tag on the bath rug for any specific instructions that rug might have.
Most bath rugs will be perfectly fine with stain remover, for any nasty stains you may have on the rug.
Do not wash rugs with your clothes. And if you are washing rugs together make sure they are similar colours. You don’t want to have a technicoloured bath rug.
Now the most important part of maintaining your bath rug is drying it out thoroughly from time to time. There is no problem with using your drying machine, just make sure you follow any drying instructions your rug has. Drying naturally is always the best for rugs.
To freshen up your bath rug and get rid of that sepia toning seeping in overtime, you can use small amounts of bleach or peroxide when washing.
So remember make the start of your day a good one. Bath rugs are a very inexpensive way to make your bathroom look good and to feel good!
